Joining the ceremony were Nguyen Tuan Thanh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Huynh Thuy Van, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; along with representatives from various departments, sectors and localities.
At the Quang Trung Museum, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and the delegation laid flowers at the statue of Emperor Quang Trung and offered incense at the Temple of the Tay Son Three Heroes, a place of reverence for Emperor Quang Trung and the Tay Son dynasty’s civil and military mandarins who made great contributions to the cause of national founding and defence.
The delegation offered incense at the front shrine, which honours the Tay Son dynasty’s civil and military officials; visited the ancient well and watered a commemorative tree, demonstrating deep gratitude to the forebears who made significant contributions to Viet Nam’s revolutionary cause.
Next, the delegation visited the Memorial Site of Nguyen Sinh Sac, a place that once bore witness to the footsteps of Nguyen Sinh Sac, the father of President Ho Chi Minh, during his time in Binh Dinh.
In a solemn atmosphere, the delegates offered incense and expressed their profound respect and gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh, a national liberation hero who devoted his entire life to the revolutionary cause, and to Nguyen Sinh Sac, who raised and nurtured a great leader of the nation.
In tribute to the contributions of earlier generations, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan visited and presented gifts to exemplary policy beneficiary families, including students, cadres, and soldiers from Binh Dinh who regrouped in the North during the resistance wars. These included Distinguished Teacher Tran Vinh Tho, 86 years old, in Phu Phong Town and Mr Huynh Nhanh, 96 years old, in Tay Xuan Commune.
At each home, the Vice President inquired about the health and living conditions of the families, expressing heartfelt appreciation for their immense sacrifices and contributions to the cause of national liberation and defence. She hoped these families would continue to uphold their proud revolutionary traditions and encourage their children and grandchildren to study hard and contribute to the homeland and the country.
Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan emphasised that caring for the material and spiritual well-being of policy beneficiaries and those who have rendered services to the nation is a great responsibility of the Party and the State.
She called on all levels of Party committees, authorities, mass organisations and unions to enhance historical education, expand tribute programmes, and provide more support to help policy families enjoy better and more stable living conditions.
The flower and incense-offering ceremonies and activities of gratitude and care for policy families reflect the profound respect and appreciation of the Party and the State for the significant contributions of previous generations. They also demonstrate the determination to uphold the revolutionary tradition and build a prosperous and sustainably developed country.
