At the meeting, Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin noted that Viet Nam and Mozambique share a traditional friendship and sound cooperation, with Mozambique being one of Viet Nam’s key partners in Africa.
She further highlighted that Viet Nam is currently promoting judicial reform to better meet the requirements of the new situation. These efforts aim to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of judicial activities, strengthen the fight against crime, safeguard justice, protect human and citizens’ rights, as well as the legitimate rights and interests of the State, organisations and individuals; maintain political security and social order; foster socio-economic development; and accelerate the country’s international integration.
The Ambassador affirmed that the two countries hold significant potential for cooperation in this field, particularly as bilateral relations continue to deepen.
Reaffirming Viet Nam’s consistent priority of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of its citizens both at home and abroad, Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin expressed appreciation to the Government of Mozambique, including the judiciary, for facilitating and supporting Vietnamese enterprises and community members living and doing business in the country, thereby making positive contributions to Mozambique’s socio-economic life.
She respectfully proposed that Chief Justice Adelino Manuel Muchanga continue to support and facilitate cooperation between the competent authorities of the two countries in exploring new areas of collaboration, thereby further promoting judicial cooperation and strengthening citizen protection while maximising the safeguarding of the legitimate rights and interests of the peoples and businesses of both nations.

Congratulating Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin on her new posting in Mozambique, Chief Justice Adelino Manuel Muchanga expressed his confidence that she would have a successful tenure and make practical contributions to the development of bilateral relations.
The Chief Justice pledged to work closely with the Embassy of Viet Nam and encourage Mozambique’s relevant authorities to explore and propose new avenues of cooperation with Viet Nam, in line with the sound foundations and positive trajectory of bilateral ties.
On this occasion, Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin and Chief Justice Adelino Manuel Muchanga also exchanged views on several other important matters, particularly concerning the protection of Vietnamese citizens in Mozambique.
