The event aimed to showcase the natural beauty and Buddhist cultural heritage of Pakistan, as well as introduced opportunities for enhancing tourism cooperation between Viet Nam and Pakistan.
It welcomed the attendance of ambassadors and representatives from the embassies of Kazakhstan, Algeria, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Sri Lanka, along with representatives of relevant Vietnamese and Pakistani agencies and research institutes.
Delivering an online speech, a representative of the Vietnamese Embassy in Pakistan affirmed that Viet Nam and Pakistan have shared over 50 years of friendship and cooperation, grounded in mutual trust and respect. Bilateral trade has surpassed 850 million USD, while people-to-people exchanges have become increasingly vibrant, helping to strengthen the ties between the two nations.
As a dynamic tourism hub in Southeast Asia and an active member of ASEAN, Viet Nam is ready to share its tourism development experience and support Pakistan in attracting more international visitors.
Dr Trinh Thi Thu Ha, Rector of the Ha Noi College of Commerce and Tourism, stressed that through the Pakistan Tourism Day event, participants had the opportunity to learn more about Pakistan—a country rich in history, religion, arts, and magnificent natural landscapes. The event was not only an occasion to highlight Pakistan's tourism potential but also served as a cultural, educational, and economic bridge, fostering mutual understanding and opening up opportunities for cooperation between Viet Nam, Pakistan, and other nations.

In his speech at the event, Pakistani Ambassador to Viet Nam Kohdayar Marri outlined Pakistan’s tourism development strategy, with a focus on Buddhist heritage tourism. He highlighted the Gandhara region as the cradle of ancient Buddhist civilisation.
As part of the programme, delegates and guests enjoyed a series of engaging presentations showcasing the multifaceted beauty of Pakistan. These included a video sharing the real experiences of an international tourist who had visited Pakistan and captured heartfelt impressions of its people, nature, and culture; a video produced by secondary school students in Ha Noi expressing their youthful perspective on Pakistan’s beauty; and another video featuring footage of ancient Buddhist sites in the Gandhara region.
