The list of the “Most Welcoming Places on Earth” is based on more than 370 million guest reviews verified from travellers worldwide. The Traveller Review Awards honour travel partners that have consistently delivered outstanding service across the globe.
According to Branavan Aruljothi, Country Director of Booking.com in Viet Nam, a destination is defined not only by its natural scenery or cultural heritage, but also by the warmth and sincerity of its people.
In that spirit, he revealed that the most welcoming destinations in Viet Nam in 2026 include: Hoi An, Mai Chau, Cu Lao Thu, Ninh Binh, Ha Giang, Con Dao, Phong Nha, Da Lat, Phu Quoc, and Cao Bang.
In Viet Nam, a total of 13,052 accommodation partners, including 6,503 holiday homes, received the Traveller Review Award. The result contributes to reinforcing the country’s growing reputation and consistent service quality in enhancing visitor experiences.
The awards also reflect the diversity of travellers’ accommodation preferences when visiting Viet Nam. Traditional hotels remain the most recognised category with 5,361 properties honoured, followed by apartments (2,478), homestays (1,651), serviced apartments (645), and villas (516). This reflects a growing trend among travellers seeking distinctive accommodation spaces that strongly embody local character.
Globally, Italy ranked first for the ninth consecutive year, with 214,666 travel partners receiving awards. It was followed by France with 170,596, Spain with 152,292, Germany with 111,685, and the United Kingdom with 93,989 award-winning partners.
