With the participation of many domestic and international organisations, Vietnam Datafest is intended to promote public-private cooperation to tap into data sources effectively using modern data technologies, as well as promote data-driven research and development.

Such measures will help address the challenges in fostering integration in developing the fourth industrial revolution and realise the national digital transformation programme towards a truly digital Vietnam by 2045.

At the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Phan Tam highlighted data as a national asset and a productive force with an important role in developing the country, each locality, each sector and each individual.

He noted that digital transformation and data are the keys to success and that using data effectively will address many development issues in the fourth industrial revolution.

During the two days of October 24-25, Vietnam Datafest 2024 will feature a wide range of activities, including an exhibition on technology, infrastructure, data services and products, and innovation solutions of Ninh Binh, forums and workshops on data, and a workshop on digital transformation and innovation.

Participants will discuss the value of data, data strategies, modern data enterprise structures, the data economy, data security and new-generation data centres within the event’s framework.

The event is also an opportunity for experts to discuss digital transformation in education, high-quality healthcare development, digital transformation in agriculture and smart rural development.
