The event was held in response to the “Joining hands for the poor – Leaving no one behind” movement, launched by the Prime Minister and the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Chairman of the Vietnam Entrepreneurs Association in Mongolia Nguyen Huy Tuan granted 50 million VND (2,000 USD) as a donation of the association to the Vietnamese Ambassador to Mongolia Doan Khanh Tam to transfer to Vietnam to fund the housing programme.

Ambassador Doan Khanh Tam thanked the Vietnam Entrepreneurs Association in Mongolia for their support, noting that this donation demonstrated the fine tradition of “mutual compassion” of the Vietnamese people.

He added that with the attention of the Party, State and the entire society, local people in Dien Bien Province will overcome poverty to have a better life.
