Vietnam extends sympathy to Japan over losses caused by heavy rains
Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son on July 7 sent a message of sympathy to his Japanese counterpart Motegi Toshimitsu over human and property losses caused by heavy rains in the city of Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, last weekend.

During the recent handover ceremony of the 37km-long Abyei – Agok road, hundreds of local residents lined both sides, waving to members of Viet Nam's Engineering Unit Rotation 4, who had upgraded it as part of their ongoing services for the United Nations peacekeeping mission.
