Vietnam extends sympathy to Japan over losses caused by heavy rains
Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son on July 7 sent a message of sympathy to his Japanese counterpart Motegi Toshimitsu over human and property losses caused by heavy rains in the city of Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, last weekend.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ngo Le Van, who is also Chairman of the Viet Nam National Commission for UNESCO, led a Vietnamese delegation to attend the 11th Session of the General Assembly of the States Parties to the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, and promote the country’s heritage nomination dossiers and cooperation activities with UNESCO in Paris, France, from June 16 - 19.
