They include safe destinations, many beautiful natural landscapes, unique cultural values, food paradise, friendly people, world-class resorts, stunning bays, cultural festivals, affordable prices, exotic local markets, and mysterious destinations for adventurers.
The abovementioned reasons were stated by the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) at an event held on June 3 to advertise Vietnamese tourism as part of the Vietnamese Cultural Days in Russia.
At the event, leaders of tourism enterprises emphasised that in order to restore and develop bilateral tourist streams, it is necessary to resume operation of convenient direct flight routes.
According to VNAT Deputy Director Nguyen Le Phuc, Russia is a major source of tourists to Vietnam, with more and more Russian tourists choosing Vietnam to explore the rich history and unique culture of the country.
He stated that the number of Russian tourists to Vietnam has declined in recent times due to many reasons, including the epidemic and the international situation.
Therefore, restoring the stream of Russian tourists with high spending capacity has been included in the goals of VNAT’s tourism promotion programme.
