Themed ‘Lao Cai Tourism – Connecting Green Aspiration,’ the event will attract participation from 15 countries and territories and 40 provinces and cities across Viet Nam, including international tourism enterprises and embassies from China, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Japan, India, France, Malaysia, and Australia.
In addition to the exhibition, the travel mart will host seminars and discussions on green tourism and the development of green tourism products, as well as press trips and tours to Lao Cai City, Sa Pa town, and the border district of Bat Xat.
According to Tran Son Binh, Deputy Director of the Lao Cai Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the event is designed as a venue for tourism businesses inside and outside Lao Cai province, and international partners to showcase their tourism products, services, and industries.
It also aims to advertise the culture, people, images, and tourism products of Lao Cai to visitors at home and abroad.
In 2024, Lao Cai welcomed over 8 million tourists, including more than 825,000 international visitors, generating nearly 27,000 billion VND in tourism revenue.
