At the ceremony, on behalf of the Government and people of Vietnam, Deputy Foreign Minister Ha Kim Ngoccongratulated the leaders and people of Iran, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Iran.
The Deputy Minister stressed that cultural interference and the connection activities over the past 50 years, between the two countries, are important foundations to build and develop relations in the present.
The two countries have many similarities and complementary advantages for the friendship and cooperation to continue to develop for the benefit of the two peoples, as well as for peace and stability in the two regions and the world.
Political-diplomatic relations between the two countries have made positive developments in all channels of State diplomacy, parliament and people-to-people diplomacy. Economic and trade cooperation between the two countries has been continuously promoted, achieving positive growth steps.
The cooperation in other sectors such as culture, education and science-technology, has been achieving encouraging results.
On the occasion, Deputy Minister Ha Kim Ngocsuggested that the Government, agencies, and departments from the two countries, need to make more efforts to bring the cooperation between the two countries into depth.
In the immediate future, the two sides need to coordinate in organising the 10th session of the Intergovernmental Committee and the 7th Political Consultative Meeting, to realise the political determination of the leaders from the two countries.
Ambassador of Iran to Vietnam Ali Akbar Nazari emphasised, that the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties is an appropriate occasion to reflect on the remarkable journey of friendship and cooperation, between the two countries.
This important milestone represents half a century of solid friendship, fruitful cooperation and common achievements between the two countries, added the Ambassador.
The friendship associations of the two countries will continue to renew and diversify their operations, improve the efficiency of activities, and focus on exchanges of young people and students, contributing to cultivating and developing the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Iran.
