Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra to perform in the RoK

Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra will perform a special concert at the 39th Republic of Korea (RoK) International Music Festival in Seoul on November 1.

The event is part of activities to mark the 30th anniversary of Vietnam – RoK diplomatic ties (1992-2022).

The concert will feature the participation of artists from both countries, including the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, Music Director - Main Conductor Honna Tetsuj, pianist Nguyen Viet Trung and violinist Han Soo-jin.

Nguyen Viet Trung is a young Vietnamese pianist, who won the fifth prize at the Chopin competition in Warsaw (Poland), in 2020.

When he was 15, Han Soo-jin was the first artist from the RoK to win the Vienna Abski International Competition, as the youngest winner.

Artists will perform the piece “Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini” (Rachmaninoff), Violin Concerto No. 1 (Bruch) and Symphony No. 2 (Brahms).
