Vietnam wins two more golds

Nhan Dan - Vietnamese disabled competitors on November 15 secured two more gold, one silver and two bronze medals at the on-going Asian Para Games in Guangzhou, China.

Both gold medals went to badminton players. In the men's BMSTL1 singles final, Pham Hoang Thang defeated Tian Shiwei from China 2-0 (21-19, 21-9). Meanwhile Pham Duc Trung brought home the second gold medal in badminton for Vietnam after beating an Indonesian opponent 2-1 (21-12, 20-22, 21-9) in the final of the men's BMSTL2 singles event. Vietnam also had another bronze medal in badminton thanks to Truong Ngoc Binh in the men's BMW3 singles event.

In track and field, Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao clocked a time of 20.16 seconds to snatch a silver in the women's 100m wheelchair race. The gold medal in this event went to Hungan Lisha from the host country, China. Thanh Thao will continue to test her skills in the 200m and 400m events.

Cao Ngoc Hung bagged a bronze medal in the men's F57/58 discus throw.
