Vietnamese action movie hits European countries

The film ‘578 – Phat Dan Cua Ke Dien’ (578 Magnum) by director Luong Dinh Dung, has been widely released in the European market, making it the first Vietnamese action movie to successfully penetrate the high-demand market.

Accordingly, the film has been released in Poland, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Switzerland, Slovakia, Israel, Germany, Estonia, and Greece. In addition, it has also hit the screen in many other Asian and American countries, such as India, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, and Canada.

‘578 Magnum’ tells the story of Hung, a container truck driver, and his lone and intense journey, chasing after the unknown abuser of his daughter.

On February 16, the film was also screened and introduced to film distributors from many countries around the world, within the framework of the Berlin Film Festival.

Previously, the thriller received a great round of applause from the audience after its screening on November 22, 2022, at the 26th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia.

As scheduled, the film will hit 42 countries and 10 territories worldwide, by June 30 this year. This is not only an encouraging sign for the film crew but also a promising start for Vietnamese cinema, towards reaching international audiences.

The producer targets to introduce the film in 62 markets and earn a revenue of 2.63 million USD by 2023.
