According to the Brand Finance Viet Nam 100 2026 report, the combined value of the brands in this year's ranking reached approximately 43 billion USD, up 11% year on year. The financial sector continued to dominate, accounting for six of the top 10 positions.
Brand Finance estimated that the banking sector alone contributed 15.2 billion USD, representing more than one-third of the total brand value in the ranking. Meanwhile, the aviation sector recorded the fastest growth in brand value, surging 79% on the back of the tourism recovery.
Against this backdrop, Vinamilk maintained its second-place position and remained the only fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) brand in the top 10 for the fourth consecutive year.
Since the ranking was first introduced in Viet Nam in 2015, Vinamilk has also remained the country's most valuable food brand for 12 consecutive years. This demonstrates that the brand has had an enduring strength over decades rather than a reliance on short-term market fluctuations.
Notably, Vinamilk continued to hold an AAA+ rating, the highest level on the Brand Strength Index (BSI) scale. According to Alex Haigh, Managing Director of Brand Finance Asia Pacific, only around 5% of brands worldwide achieve this rating.
Previously, Vinamilk was also the only dairy company to feature in the Fortune Southeast Asia 500 ranking of the region's 500 largest companies by revenue for three consecutive years, in a list largely dominated by financial and energy businesses.
According to Brand Finance, Vinamilk's continued second-place ranking this year was driven primarily by an improved revenue outlook and sustained growth momentum in 2026.
Growth was supported by the recovery of the domestic market, expansion into international markets, and improvements in operational efficiency.
Beyond brand value, Brand Finance also recognised Vinamilk as Viet Nam's leading brand for social sustainability perceptions under its Sustainability Perceptions Index.
The index recognises brands that consumers perceive as demonstrating the strongest commitment to sustainability goals worldwide.
It reflects the growing importance of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors in shaping consumer expectations, while also quantifying the value that positive sustainability perceptions contribute to a brand.
In this year's report, Brand Finance highlighted two of Vinamilk's outstanding initiatives. The first was the “Stand Tall Viet Nam Milk Fund”, which has distributed more than 43 million milk boxes to over half a million children nationwide over the past 19 years. The second was the “Beautiful Cartons Reborn” programme, which encourages consumers to develop the habit of collecting and recycling used milk cartons.
“These initiatives have established a direct connection between Vinamilk and the country's goals for nutrition, child welfare, and sustainable development. As a result, the company is recognised as one of Viet Nam's leading examples of corporate social responsibility (CSR), while also enjoying a high level of positive public recognition for its contributions to society,” the report stated.
