War veterans urged to promote heroic tradition of Vietnamese People’s Army

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong has called on war veterans to promote the heroic traditions of the Vietnamese People’s Army, uphold the qualities of Ho Chi Minh's soldiers, and make further contributions to national construction and development.

The NA leader made the statement while hosting a meeting in Hanoi on December 3 with a delegation of veterans from Thanh Hoa Province who fought on the Quang Nam battlefield from 1968 to 1975.

Speaking at the meeting, the NA Vice Chairman praised the Thanh Hoa Province war veterans for their consistent support to each other in everyday life as well as their active participation in social affairs in within communities.

He encouraged them to mobilise their relatives and comrades to observe Party guidelines and State policies, thus contributing to the local socio-economic development and the protection of national independence, sovereignty, solidarity, and territorial integrity.

At the meeting, the war veterans shared memories from their time serving the army and affirmed their commitment to educating younger generations on revolutionary traditions.
