The event introduces three award-winning films of well-known director Hannes Stohr, including Berlin is in German, One Day in Europe, and Global Player.

They reflect the changes Germany has undergone from the fall of the Berlin Wall to globalisation.

The director will also introduce his films and hold an exchange with the public afterwards.

In addition, a workshop with Hannes Stöhr will offer young filmmakers the opportunity to gain insights into his work and the craft of screenwriting. Topics addressed will include development of a film from the first idea to the screenplay, financing and directing, and finally finishing the film.

Born in 1970 in Stuttgart, Hannes Stohr is now living and working as a film director and screenwriter in Berlin. From 1995 to 1999 he studied Screenplay and Direction at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin.

In 2006 he was awarded a writing scholarship in the Villa Aurora, Los Angeles. His feature films (Berlin is in Germany, One Day in Europe, Berlin Calling, Global Player) have won numerous awards and have been shown at several international film festivals.
