The office building has a total area of 2,500 square metres and is scheduled for completion in September of next year, offering a modern and convenient working space for VSIP Nghe An staff.
The building will also house a single-window system comprised of representatives from twelve provincial departments and agencies and designed to assist companies that base their production at VSIP Nghe An.
Construction of the VSIP Nghe An project began in September of last year in the presence of former Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and Singaporean Minister for Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang.
To date, this is the largest foreign-invested project in Nghe An Province, with a total investment capital of more than VND1.6 trillion (US$71 million) for an industrial and urban complex covering 750 hectares.
So far, three companies have set up their production in the industrial park, namely TDV, NANOCO Vinh and Vietnam Post.
On the occasion of the start of construction, investment licences were granted to a number of companies planning to open their factories at VSIP Nghe An.
Since the first Vietnam–Singapore joint industrial park was constructed in Binh Duong province twenty years ago, seven such parks have been developed throughout Vietnam.
