Director of the Quang Tri Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Agency Nguyen Duc Tan said, that the workshop was organised by the Quang Tri Provincial Tourism Association, in collaboration with the Quang Tri Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Agency, aiming to promote tourism development on the East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) and attract more Lao, Thai and international tourists to Quang Tri.
The event drew more than 80 units, including nearly 40 guests from typical travel businesses and units from Laos and Thailand.
At the conference, representatives of the Quang Tri Provincial Tourism Association introduced the potential and strengths of destinations in the area, some sample tour programmes such as "Experiencing Quang Tri Beach" and the "3 days 2 nights tour" in Quang Tri, to promote and connect with tourism businesses in Laos and Thailand.
Representatives of Lao and Thai travel businesses, through a survey trip in Quang Tri, had suggestions and comments to improve the quality and diversify tourism products.

The Quang Tri Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Agency; and Quang Tri Provincial Tourism Association, signed a memorandum of understanding to promote and link tours with the Travel Association of Savannakhet Province and the Tourism, Commerce and Industry Association of Thailand's Northeastern region.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri Province Hoang Nam said, that EWEC plays an important role in the strategy of linking localities of direct beneficiary countries in the Mekong Subregion.
The governments of EWEC countries always focus on promoting economic and cultural exchange activities, especially considering the development of trade, services, and tourism, as both a driving force and a goal in the development strategy.
