14th conference of VFV International Committee held

Nhan Dan – The Vietnam Friendship Village (VFV) International Committee, convened its 14th conference in Hanoi on October 25 to review the committee’s activities over the past three years and devise a plan for the next two years.

VFV plans to continue to focus on medical treatment, rehabilitation, vocational training and education enabling reintegration into the community and care for veterans and children at the VFV, who were exposed to Agent Orange/Dioxin in the coming time.

Delegates visited classrooms and medical care facilities, and studied the village’s operations.

The Vice President of the Veterans’ Association of Vietnam (VAV) cum President of VFV National Committee Do Cong Mui, VFV’s Director Dang Vu Dung and President of the VFV International Committee, Rose Marie Hohn – Mizo attended the two-day conference, together with representatives from relevant agencies and international organisations present in Vietnam.

The VFV, under the VAV, was founded in 1991 to gather dedicated people from different nations to help victims of the war reduce their pain and suffering and contribute to overcoming the consequences of the war and deepening relationship among peoples in the world..
