Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh attended and delivered remarks at the event.
The ceremony was also attended by Nguyen Dac Vinh, Member of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee on Culture and Social Affairs, and Bui Quang Huy, Alternate Member of the PCC and First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee.
According to Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organisation Central Council, the contest lasted six months, beginning on June 2, 2025, and consisted of two competitive phases.
The contest attracted more than 2.1 million participants, generating nearly 7.4 million entries. In the first phase alone, after eight weeks of competition across eight corresponding themes, there were more than 1.8 million views, interactions, and comments on social media platforms.
“The contest created a vibrant atmosphere and helped spread the spirit of ‘Understanding the National Assembly – Loving the Fatherland – Living Responsibly’, enabling young people to enhance their knowledge of the National Assembly, the Constitution, and the law, while fostering pride, patriotism, and the aspiration to contribute among the youth,” Nguyen Pham Duy Trang shared.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh expressed her strong impression of the contest’s wide-reaching impact among young people nationwide. She affirmed that the statistics on participation and entries were vivid evidence of the appeal of the theme marking 80 years of the National Assembly of Viet Nam, reflecting the growing public interest, learning spirit, patriotism, sense of responsibility, and civic and political awareness.
Nguyen Thi Thanh proposed that, in the coming period, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and relevant agencies should further promote and replicate the contest’s success among youth union members and young people; diversify communication models on the history of constitution-making and law-making, as well as the organisation and operations of the National Assembly — particularly on digital platforms — to better align with the information-access habits of today’s youth.
At the ceremony, the Organising Committee presented Certificates of Merit from the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee to individuals and collectives with outstanding achievements in implementing the contest and awarded prizes to exemplary contestants who achieved high scores in the weekly rounds.
