The complex, set up at the Intracom Riverside building in Dong Anh District on the outskirts of Hanoi, is intended to realise the national plan to support the innovation startup ecosystem until 2025 and the strategy for scientific and technological development and innovation until 2030.
It also demonstrates the participation of major companies in supporting and promoting the national innovation startup ecosystem to the world.
Under the agreement, the two sides will work together to organise events on innovation, nurture startup projects and promote investment connections at the national and international levels.
To support startup businesses, Intracom will provide floor space on the 20th storey of the Intracom Riverside building for four years, worth 10 billion VND (over 400,000 USD).
The first stage of the complex will feature two functional sections, with one devoted to reception and office, and the other for incubating, connecting investment, co-working space, conferencing and training.
The complex aims to develop 20-30 startup businesses capable of calling for national funding and expanding to the region and the world.
The cooperation agreement is the first step in a long-term cooperation process to tap into the strengths of both sides in connecting and encouraging innovation startup companies to grow, especially as Vietnam is looking for breakthroughs in socio-economic development.
