In his opening remarks, Nhan Dan’s Editor-in-chief Le Quoc Minh stated that the bravery of soldiers, volunteers and people in Dong Loc made this site a bright symbol of Vietnamese revolutionary heroism during the American war.
He added that Dong Loc has become a sacred space created by the sacrifices of the previous generation, which is now encouraging the current generation to rise up strongly.

Over the past ten years, Nhan Dan Newspaper and Ha Tinh Province have held annual events marking the sacrifices of ten young female volunteers and heroes fallen at the Dong Loc T-junction, a highlight of the national movement to pay tribute to national contributors.
Speaking at the programme, Politburo member and Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Nguyen Xuan Thang affirmed that the military feats of the Vietnamese people and soldiers at Dong Loc are the victories of the Vietnamese patriotism and indomitable spirit.
He urged Ha Tinh Province to uphold its heroic tradition to create new miracles in the new period, transforming Ha Tinh into a wealthy and beautiful province.
