Art programme honours heroic history of the Vietnam People’s Army

Famous songs recreating the heroic history of the Vietnam People’s Army will be performed in a special political art programme titled “The marching song echoes the mountains and rivers forever” organised by Hanoi Radio and Television at 8:00 p.m. on December 22.

The programme takes place at the outdoor stage of Doan Mon Yard in the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Relic Site to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defence Day. It will be broadcast live on channel H2 of Hanoi Radio and Television, FM90 radio, and the station's digital platforms (Hanoi On app, website: hanoionline.vn).

The programme will recreate the proud journey of the Vietnam People’s Army over the past 80 years under the leadership of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam, an army “born from the people, fighting for the people”.

The event is expected to bring the audience back to the heroic past with the glorious feats and boundless sacrifices of the army in the resistance wars against French colonialism and US imperialism, gaining independence and freedom, reunifying the country, fulfilling international duties, and protecting the sovereignty of the Fatherland.

The program has the participation of the Hanoi Radio-Television Symphony Orchestra, the Young Sound Choir, the Childhood Stars Club and famous artists such as Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung, and singer Phuc Tiep, creating an emotional musical space imbued with love for the country.
