The book, entitled “Dai tuong Vo Nguyen Giap trong long dan” (General Vo Nguyen Giap in the people’s heart), is a work by photographer and journalist Tran Tuan. This is the first Vietnamese bilingual book to be introduced in the RoK.

According to the author, the book is a collection of photos he took when he was with General Giap. The photos capture General Giap’s moments with his comrades, people and family, as well as images of his funeral and moving moments when people across the country mourned the death of the beloved General of the Vietnamese people.

Tran Tuan, who worked for the Vietnam News Agency, has 45 years of experience in his career and 35 years taking photos of General Vo Nguyen Giap.

He has published three books on General Giap and has also organised 10 photo exhibitions of the general in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Quang Binh and many other localities across the country. All the photos were presented to the localities after the exhibitions.
