Also attending the festival were Ngo Chi Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the National Assembly delegation of Dong Thap Province.
At the festival, leaders from the Central Government, Dong Thap Province, Ngu Hiep Commune and residents of Hoa Hao Hamlet reviewed the 95-year tradition of the founding of the Viet Nam National United Front — the Traditional Day of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front.
They provided an overview of the results in building the great national unity bloc in the hamlet; the outcomes of mobilising residents to implement the two-tier local government model; and outstanding achievements in socio-economic and cultural development in Hoa Hao Hamlet and Ngu Hiep Commune, along with the results of mass mobilisation campaigns and patriotic emulation movements.
On this occasion, leaders of Ngu Hiep Commune commended, honoured and rewarded 10 outstanding collectives, families and individuals; launched an emulation movement in celebration of the successful Party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term; and the Viet Nam Fatherland Front congresses at all levels, heading towards the 11th National Congress of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front for the 2026–2031 term.
In his remarks at the festival, Le Minh Hoan spent considerable time sharing and conversing with residents about production, livelihoods, branding of local products, improvement of product quality, and the economic value of household fields and gardens.
He also presented many books to local farmers on modern farming and livestock practices from abroad, agricultural economic models of advanced countries and reflections on cultivating kindness in both production and daily life.
NA Vice Chairman Le Minh Hoan emphasised that hamlets and residential quarters are of great importance within the political system because hamlet and neighbourhood leaders are closest to the people, knowing each resident and understanding their needs.
Therefore, the Great National Solidarity Festival in Hoa Hao Hamlet is an opportunity for all to gather, share joys and challenges, and exchange experiences across generations. It is also a chance for local leaders and residents — and for residents among themselves — to enhance understanding, sympathy and mutual support for collective development.
On this occasion, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Le Minh Hoan, presented gifts to leaders of Ngu Hiep Commune and Hoa Hao Hamlet. The National Assembly offered 50 gift packages to policy beneficiary families, poor households, near-poor households and exemplary families in Hoa Hao Hamlet, Ngu Hiep Commune. Each package included 500,000 VND in cash and 300,000 VND worth of goods.
The Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front also presented gifts to the Fatherland Front Working Committee of Hoa Hao Hamlet and to 10 policy beneficiary and exemplary households of the hamlet. The Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee delivered gifts to the Hamlet Fatherland Front Working Committee.
After the festival, Le Minh Hoan, together with leaders of Dong Thap Province, Ngu Hiep Commune, Hoa Hao Hamlet and local residents, visited and exchanged experiences on durian cultivation at the farm of farmer Dang Van Hai in Binh Hoa A Hamlet, Ngu Hiep Commune, Dong Thap Province.
