Emergency support of 700 billion VND for four Provinces to remedy flood damage

The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has signed Decision No. 2549/QD-TTg dated November 21, 2025, providing urgent financial support for the provinces of Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Gia Lai, and Dak Lak to address damage caused by heavy rains and flooding.

Specifically, 700 billion VND from the 2025 central budget contingency fund is allocated to the four localities, including Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Gia Lai, and Dak Lak, to remedy flood-related damage, as proposed by the Ministry of Finance in Document No. 18072/BTC-NSNN dated November 20, 2025.

The Deputy Prime Minister requests that the People’s Committees of the provinces take responsibility for proactively balancing local budget expenditure, together with the funds supported by the central budget and other lawful financial resources, to carry out urgent tasks to overcoming natural disaster impacts in accordance with regulations.

The People’s Committees of the provinces shall manage and use the additional funds in a transparent and accountable manner, for the correct purposes, correct beneficiaries, and in accordance with the Law on the State Budget and other relevant legal documents, ensuring no losses or wrongdoing; and report on the use of funds to the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and relevant agencies for consolidation and reporting to the Prime Minister.

This Decision takes effect from the date of signing — November 21, 2025.
