Binh Duong International Women's Cycling Tournament opens

The 13th Binh Duong International Women’s Cycling Tournament – Biwase Cup, officially opened in Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province on March 8.

The tournament featured the participation of 11 domestic women's cycling teams and seven international women's teams from Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Kazakhstan, Taiwan (China) and Singapore.

Taking place from March 8 to 17, riders will compete in 10 races, with a total distance of 1,101 kilometres, running through the provinces of Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Lam Dong, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan and Ba Ria – Vung Tau and finishing at Thu Dau Mot City.

On the opening day, the riders competed in the first stage, with a 66km track route around Binh Duong New City, Thu Dau Mot City.

In the first race, with three runners finishing in the top five, Loc Troi Group took the lead in the team category, followed by Vinama Ho Chi Minh City and the team from the Philippines.

Notably, rider Maneephan Jutatip from Thailand won Yellow Jersey in the first race and took the lead in the Green Jersey award with 18 points, followed by Nguyen Thi Thu Mai from Loc Troi Group and Lam Thi Thuy Duong from Vinama Ho Chi Minh City.
