A total of 261 photos by Pierre Dieulefils were collected from his trip to Indochina in 1885. He spent most of his life capturing images of people, landscapes, and whateverhe found interesting in this new land.
In 1909, Dieulefils published a book on the North and the Central of Vietnam. After having won a gold medal at an exhibition in Brussels in 1910, he continued to publish a book on the South.
The “Beautiful and Magnificent Indochina” introduced by Dong A Books is a combination of the two above-mentioned books.
