Five teams are participating in the tournament, including the host Becamex Binh Duong, V-League champions Quang Nam, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Vasco de Gama from Brazil and Korean Students from the Republic of Korea.
The teams will compete in a round robin format with the top two qualifying for the final. The third and fourth placed teams will vie for the bronze medal.
The champions will get the Cup and a cash prize worth VND500 million (US$22,000), while the runner-ups and third prize winners will receive VND300 million (US$13,200) and VND150 million (US$6,600), respectively.
Hosts Becamex Binh Duong beat Korean Students 3-1 in the second match after the opening ceremony.
Earlier, Hoang Anh Gia Lai defeated V-League champions Quang Nam 2-1 in the first match of the tournament, which will finish on February 4.
