According to the General Department of Taxation, 60 out of 63 provinces and cities reported budget revenue exceeding 50% of the estimate. Several provinces announced high budget revenue in the first half of this year, including Hung Yen, Thanh Hoa, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Bac Giang and Quang Ngai.
Notably, revenue from business activities saw a good growth rate, in which revenue from state-owned enterprises reached 56.8% of the estimate, revenue from foreign-invested enterprises came to 56.6% of the estimate, and revenue from non-state industry andcommerce services hit 67.6% of the estimate.
The General Department of Taxation said that budget revenue in the first six months of this year was quite good thanks to the gradual recovery of the socio-economic situation and the exemption and reduction of tax and land rent to assist enterprises and people in their business.
In addition, electronic tax declaration, payments and refunds have seen the participation of over 99% of enterprises. About 99.7% of enterprises have also switched to using electronic invoices, contributing to promoting digital transformation and simplifying tax administrative procedures.
