The economic zone now hosts 157 active businesses, generating over 77.21 trillion VND in revenue (a 30% year-on-year increase) and employing nearly 46,500 workers.

For 2025, Nghe An plans to approve 5-7 new industrial zone plans, establish 2-4 additional zones covering 900 hectares, and attract 20-25 projects worth 20-25 trillion VND, including 1 billion USD in FDI. The province aims to increase local tax contributions to 3-3.5 trillion VND and create 40,000 new jobs.

Vice Chairman of Nghe An People’s Committee, Bui Thanh An, emphasised the need to streamline operations, address challenges, and maintain the province’s strong investment appeal. Key priorities include ensuring timely project implementation and complying with environmental and safety standards.
