The tower displays about 350 butterfly samples among 380 butterfly species, discovered in Cuc Phuong.

The butterfly is a typical insect in tropical rainforests. Scientists affirmed that places with an abundance of butterflies also have fresh, diverse flora and fauna. Therefore, the butterfly was chosen as the symbol of the Cuc Phuong Museum, attracting young people to explore Cuc Phuong's primaeval old forest.

In addition to the butterfly tower, Cuc Phuong Museum also displays about 13,000 plant specimens, 450 specimens of mammals, birds, reptiles and frogs, 4,000 insect samples, and 300 samples of minerals, fossils and archaeological artefacts.

By research, scientists confirmed Cuc Phuong National Park currently has nearly 2,500 species of higher plants.

By exploring Cuc Phuong Museum in a quiet space, visitors will raise their responsibility for protecting nature and the living environment.
