Cat Cat village – A cultural space of Mong ethnic group

Cat Cat village in San San Ho commune, two kilometres from the downtown of Sapa town, Lao Cai province, was established in the mid-19th century by a group of Mong ethic people.

At the foot of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, Mong ethnic families gather together, cultivating rice and corn in terrace fields and practising their traditional crafts such as silversmithing, cotton farming, and weaving.
