Cultural and artistic exchanges have long been an important way of strengthening understanding and connections between the peoples of Viet Nam and China. With its emotional language and ability to transcend linguistic differences, music creates a space where artists and audiences from the two countries can meet and share cultural and artistic values.
Following previous Viet Nam-China artistic exchange programmes held at Ho Guom Theatre, “China-Viet Nam Harmony” will further expand artistic exchanges between artists from the two countries. The programme will feature a blend of notable works from Viet Nam and China, alongside classical masterpieces of world music.
The programme brings together Vietnamese and Chinese artists, including People's Artist Co Huy Hung, pianist Vu Ngoc Linh, trumpeter Wang Yubing, singers Nguyen Truong Linh and Dao Mac, soprano Zhou Xiaolin and tenor Wang Chong, together with the Ha Noi Symphony Orchestra and choirs from the Viet Nam National Opera and Ballet Theatre and the People's Public Security Theatre of Music and Dance. The orchestra will be conducted by conductor Tran Nhat Minh. People's Artist Bui Cong Duy will serve as artistic director and general director of the programme.
The programme is under the content direction of Wang Ning, Chairman of the World Association for Performing Arts (WAPA) and Director of the National Centre for the Performing Arts of China, and Major General and People's Artist Nguyen Cong Bay, Deputy Head of the Department of Political Affairs under the Ministry of Public Security and Director of Ho Guom Theatre.
The participation of artists from both countries will not only create a programme rich in musical diversity but also directly embody the spirit of friendship, cooperation and joint artistic creativity.
