The inaugural ceremony was attended by former President Nguyen Minh Triet, provincial leaders and sports enthusiasts.
The multi-sport racecourse is built on an area of 60 hectares at a total cost of VND1 trillion (US$44 million) and can be used for horse racing, dog racing, motorcycle racing, go-kart racing, jet-skiing and flyboard performances.
The course is surrounded by movable stands which can accommodate nearly 20,000 spectators, and is equipped with four LED screens and high-powered lights.
The facility owner said the course was put into use to help revive horse racing and host domestic and international horse races and other competitions in the future.
