Also in attendance was Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee.
The delegation visited and delivered gifts to five families, including: Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Mui, 103 years old, in Tam Hiệp Ward; War veteran Ho Thanh Phong, 79, in Tran Bien Ward; War veteran Nguyen Van Chinh, 70, in Tran Bien Ward; War veteran Tran Van Nghia, 80, in Bien Hoa Ward; and Pham Thi Ngu, 87, whose husband and son were both martyrs, also in Bien Hoa Ward.
On behalf of the Party and state leadership, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha extended his warm regards and inquired about the health and well-being of Mother Nguyen Thi Mui and the war veterans and martyrs’ families. He also expressed profound gratitude for their immense contributions and sacrifices in Viet Nam’s struggles for national independence and freedom.
The deputy prime minister called on Dong Nai’s Party committees and local authorities to continue prioritising support for those who rendered service to the nation. The effective implementation of policies for contributors will help to improve the quality of life for these individuals and their families.

On the same day, Politburo Member Nguyen Xuan Thang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, led a delegation to carry out commemorative activities in Quang Ngai Province to mark the same occasion.

During the visit, Nguyen Xuan Thang also inspected the operations of the Tu Nghia Commune Public Administration Service Centre. He took time to speak with citizens using the centre’s services as well as the civil servants working there to understand both the advantages and the challenges encountered since the centre opened more than three weeks ago.
