He saluted 102-year-old Vietnamese heroic mother Phan Thi Huu in Dien Ban Ward as well as the family of Nguyen Thi Ty, the widow of a martyr in Dien Thang Trung Commune.
During the visits, he expressed his deep gratitude to the national contributors, and wished them good health and happy lives with their descendants.

On the same day, a delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh paid tribute to fallen soldiers at Vi Xuyen National Martyrs’ Cemetery in Ha Giang Province, which is the resting place of more than 1,800 martyrs who laid down their lives to safeguard the country’s northern border.
The delegation also offered incense to heroes and martyrs in Nam Ngat Village in Vi Xuyen District’s Thanh Thuy Commune.
The same day, the Deputy PM visited and presented gifts to three families of Nguyen Thi De, Nguyen Thi Thuy, and war veteran Hoang Vinh, who are people with meritorious services to the revolution.
