Preparations are currently being finalised at Thung Nham Ecotourism Area in Nam Hoa Lu Ward for Thung Nham Summer Fest 2026, themed “Awakening Summer”, which will take place from June 13 to 21.
Designed as a multi-sensory summer journey, the programme combines nature, music, art, cuisine, entertainment, lighting, and themed cultural spaces.
A highlight of the event is a series of four experiential zones arranged across different locations within the tourism complex, creating a seamless exploration journey.
Among them, the Summer Carnival zone, themed “A Brilliant Start to the Season”, will be held along the Historical Road area on June 13, 14, 19, 20, and 21. Activities will include carnival performances, interactive artists, summer mascots, and themed photo opportunities.
The Tropical Pool Club zone will be organised at Thung Nham’s outdoor swimming pool on June 13 and 14. This area will combine music, lighting, beverages, poolside interactive activities, and artistic performances for visitors.
The Summer Awakens zone at the Amazing Event Ground will host a variety of games, physical activities, and outdoor experiences inspired by the spirit of a “Kingdom of Childhood” from June 13 to 21.
In particular, from June 19 to 21, Cosmo Island will feature a subsidy-era beer culture space under the theme “Touching Memories”. The area will recreate aspects of daily life during the centrally planned economy period through activities such as exchanging ration coupons, visiting cooperative notice boards, enjoying traditional food, watching cultural performances, and exploring 1980s-style displays.
With Thung Nham’s ecological landscapes, cave systems, natural bird gardens, lakes, accommodation facilities, and experiential services, the programme is expected to offer visitors a vibrant and memorable summer while enriching Ninh Binh’s seasonal tourism products.
Tran Thi Thanh Lan, a representative of Thung Nham Ecotourism Area, said the programme was designed to create a distinctive summer identity for Thung Nham while making full use of its ecological landscape and local cultural values.
The programme not only provides a series of entertainment activities but also creates an emotionally engaging journey where visitors can enjoy the excitement of festivals, relaxation amid nature, family fun, and nostalgic cultural memories.
Through the programme, the tourism area will continue to refresh its seasonal tourism products, enhance visitor experiences, increase the destination’s attractiveness, and expand activities available during peak tourism seasons.
In addition, attractions such as Hoa Lu Ancient Town, Tam Coc-Bich Dong Tourism Area, Mua Cave Tourism Area, Trang An Ecotourism Area, and Cuc Phuong National Park are also organising a variety of cultural, tourism, and experiential activities, creating a lively atmosphere for Ninh Binh’s 2026 summer tourism season.
Sightseeing and nature-exploration programmes, traditional craft village experiences, folk-art performances, local culinary spaces, and numerous outdoor interactive activities are being offered in diverse forms to meet visitors’ needs for sightseeing, relaxation, and discovery.
Nguyen Ngoc Linh, a visitor from Ha Noi, shared that during her family’s summer trip to Ninh Binh, they had the opportunity to visit and experience Cuc Phuong National Park. The fresh natural environment, diverse ecosystem, and forest exploration activities, along with opportunities to learn about wildlife, provided many memorable experiences for her family.
She also expressed her appreciation for the continuous innovation of tourism products and the wide range of cultural, recreational, and experiential activities being organised at tourist sites across Ninh Binh. These initiatives, she said, make trips more attractive and meaningful, particularly for families with young children.
The diversification of tourism products and the renewal of seasonal experience programmes at tourist destinations are helping to enhance the competitiveness of Ninh Binh’s tourism sector, extend visitors’ length of stay, and increase tourist spending.
At the same time, these efforts serve as an important means of promoting Ninh Binh as a safe, friendly, and culturally rich destination, further strengthening its position on both the domestic and international tourism map.
