On this occasion, the Don Son District People’s Committee is implementing a plan to organise the 2025 Tourism Festival under the theme “Do Son – A Four-Season Destination,” featuring a wide range of cultural, sporting, and tourism activities. Simultaneously, efforts are being made to strengthen state management of tourism, contributing to the branding of Hai Phong’s coastal tourism, with the ultimate aim of developing Do Son into a modern, smart coastal tourism city of national and international stature.

Peak tourist season at Do Son Beach |
Identifying coastal tourism development as one of the city’s three key breakthrough missions, Do Son is working to harness its marine, island tourism potential, its mangrove forest ecosystems, and its unique historical and cultural values. The district aims to become a smart, attractive, and friendly coastal city - an ideal four-season destination for both domestic and international tourists - while simultaneously appealing to major investors.
A highlight of the 2025 summer tourism season will be the launch of the Bang La Mangrove Ecotourism Product, jointly developed by Do Son District and Van Huong Investment and Tourism JSC. Visitors can experience activities such as crab hunting, shellfish catching, kayaking, walking along a 2.7km bridge through the forest, and photographing animal models in a 1.7-hectare park.
The 2025 Tourism Festival is a key event within the broader series of activities celebrating Hai Phong’s Flamboyant Flower Festival. The highlight will be the grand art performance “Do Son – A Four-Season Destination,” scheduled to take place on the evening of April 30, 2025 at Dragon Beach Square (Dragon Hill International Tourist Area).
The programme will feature a meticulously staged series of performances, including a spectacular opening scene, a documentary titled “Do Son – 70 Years of Heroism and Development,” an official opening ceremony, two major art shows, and a lively electronic music performance.

Additionally, many other attractive activities are taking place, such as the Expanded Tourism Golf Tournament at Dragon Golf Links on April 27, 2025 with the participation of nearly 170 golfers; and the Dragon Hill Culinary Festival from April 30 to May 4, 2025, featuring around 100 booths showcasing regional specialties, souvenirs, and free entertainment performances for tourists.
To leverage its cultural heritage assets, Do Son continues to develop tourism at historical sites. Specifically, the district is working with relevant units to implement a project to renovate the historic Fuel Depot at Area 1, Wharf K15, connecting it with the May 15 Square and the spiritual tourism site of Hang Pagoda (Hai Son Ward), forming a new tourism route. Efforts are also underway to study and renovate the Dragon Stream route, linking it to the complex of Ngoc Communal House, Long Son Temple, and the ancient Terminalia tree grove in Ngoc Xuyen Ward.
Alongside tourism promotion, state management of tourism in the area is being reinforced. The Don Son People’s Committee issued Plan No. 342/KH-UBND dated December 26, 2024 on tourism management in 2025, aiming to improve efficiency and create favourable conditions for businesses, organisations, and individuals investing in and developing tourism services.
The district aims to welcome 5 million visitors and generate approximately 3,800 billion VND in accommodation and dining revenue in 2025.
