The contest aims to encourage authors to research and compose good articles, beautiful photos, and new solutions to promote and attract tourists to the port city - a key tourist destination for both domestic and foreign tourists.

This is also a practical activity to celebrate the 68th anniversary of Hai Phong City's Liberation Day, major holidays in May, and the 98th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023).

At the same time, the contest also aims to strengthen coordination and cooperation with the central press agencies and Hai Phong City in propagating and promoting images about the potential and strengths of Vietnamese tourism in general, particularly Hai Phong tourism.

Entries should reflect outstanding achievements and contributions of the Hai Phong tourism industry, especially tourism businesses, in the process of socio-economic development of Hai Phong City, especially efforts in recovering and developing again after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The entries for the contest may include works of quality in print, radio, television, electronic newspapers, and beautiful photos, and must be submitted before October 10, 2023.

The organising board will present two first prizes worth 10 million VND each; two second prizes (7 million VND each); three third prizes (5 million VND each); and five consolation prizes (2 million VND each).

Contestants are journalists, members of the Vietnam Journalists Association, professional and amateur photographers, Vietnamese citizens, and foreigners who are living and working in Vietnam and have an interest in Hai Phong tourism.
