Themed ‘Fellow Citizens of the Capital City’, the event is jointly held by the Hoan Kiem District People's Committee and the National Archives Centre I to mark the 70th anniversary of Hanoi's Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - 2024).
The works on display are divided into three parts, namely ‘Hanoi on Fire’, which includes photos and images recalling the early days of the French invasion; ‘Hanoi in Revolt’, which highlights the revolutionary struggles in Hanoi from 1930 to 1954; and ‘Hanoi on Triumph Day’, which praises the spirit of victory in the capital city on its liberation day.
Speaking at the opening ceremony on September 20, Chairman of Hoan Kiem District People's Committee Pham Tuan Long said that the exhibition aims to provide useful information about the history of Hanoi, contributing to nurturing and educating the revolutionary patriotism for the generations of Hanoians, especially the younger generation.
The exhibition will run until October 31 at the Government’s Guest House, No.2 Le Thach Street, Hoan Kiem District.
