An exhibition titled “Colours of Friendship”, featuring 69 works by Vietnamese and Korean painters opened at the Ngo Quyen Arts Exhibition Centre in Ha Noi.

The event is jointly held by the UNESCO Centre for Fine Arts in Ha Noi and the K-Art International Exchange Association.

Through paintings and sculptures, artists from the two countries share their perspectives on life, their worldviews, and their love for nature, humanity, and life itself.

At the exhibition, Vietnamese artists present around 50 works reflecting the rich and diverse landscape of contemporary fine art.

The works on display are created using a wide range of materials, including lacquer, oil on canvas, silk, and acrylic.

Each work vividly captures the beauty of Viet Nam’s nature, land, and people, while also demonstrating the artists’ spirit of exploration and innovation in creative thinking.

From the Korean side, nearly 20 paintings are introduced to the public.

The artists likewise employ a variety of materials, from watercolour and gouache to acrylic and mixed media.

Each work bears a strong individual imprint, yet remains harmonious within the overall exhibition.

Speaking at the exhibition, Phan Thi Thanh Mai, Director of the UNESCO Centre for Fine Arts in Ha Noi, shared: “Art is the common language of humanity, transcending all national, cultural, and linguistic boundaries.”

She added that through painting, people can share emotions, aspirations, creative thinking, and noble humanistic values, noting that the exhibition stands as a vivid testament to the spirit of international exchange and cooperation between Viet Nam and the Republic of Korea.

The presence of artworks by Vietnamese and Korean artists creates a multi-dimensional artistic space, where distinctive visual languages intertwine with shared emotions, aesthetic sensibilities, and creative spirit, offering the public a rich and refreshing visual experience.

This joint display not only provides an opportunity to enhance mutual understanding and share creative experience but also contributes to promoting bilateral cooperation in fine arts.

According to the organisers, the exhibition will run until January 18.
