The partnership is driven by the growing need to modernise technology systems and address the shortage of IT professionals in the “Land of the Rising Sun”, as many businesses seek to accelerate digital transformation, optimise operations, and enhance customer experience. Viet Nam is increasingly viewed as a suitable destination thanks to its strong human resources, scalable workforce, and extensive experience in serving Japanese clients.

The three parties agreed to promote cooperation along three key pillars: ensuring delivery capacity; coordinating business activities; and stepping up research and development (R&D). The focus is on building a delivery model with sufficient capability to meet large-scale projects and advanced technology requirements, including artificial intelligence (AI).

Under the cooperation framework, NTT Data will take on the role of client engagement, providing expertise in large-scale system implementation and overall project governance. NTT Data Viet Nam will be responsible for managing offshore IT service delivery for the Japanese market in Viet Nam, while coordinating business activities with local partners. CMC Global will concentrate on supporting resource assurance (recruitment and training), delivering solutions and services in technology domains such as AI, cloud computing, and data analytics, and working with CMC Technology Group to expand business cooperation.

By combining the strengths of the three parties, the partnership is expected to enhance capabilities in meeting new technology demands such as AI, improve the capacity to deliver large-scale projects, and offer more flexible and competitive services.

In the coming period, the three partners will continue to promote research and implementation initiatives to strengthen the development framework, improve service delivery quality, and expand their ability to undertake large-scale AI application projects for the Japanese market.

Chairman of CMC Corporation Nguyen Trung Chinh said: “The signing of this cooperation agreement between CMC Global, NTT Data, and NTT Data Viet Nam marks a strong step forward for CMC on its journey to the global market, delivering international-standard services and realising its ambition to become a Global AI-X Company by 2030.”
