Films about history, revolution, President Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnamese young generations in national construction and defence will be screened during the film week across the country.

The film week aims to educate young people about revolutionary ideas, patriotic traditions and national pride while encouraging them to gain further achievements in studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example.

At the launching ceremony, a screening of ‘Thau Chin in Siam’ by Bui Tuan Dung was shown. The film won the first prize in the literature and arts contest about studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example and prizes for best cameraman and best designer.

The young generations’ journey, which is organised by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the High Command of Vietnam People's Navy to mark the 125th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890-2015), has taken place from May 6-17 with the participation of over 100 outstanding youth unions’ members, young businessmen, students, artists, scholars and reporters.
