Co-organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Health, with 120 booths, the fair showcased clean, safe and quality pharmaceutical products. The event is considered a venue for buying traditional medicines to serve the shopping and health care needs of the people in Hanoi and nearby localities.
The fair also helps to connect units, cooperatives and enterprises in the field of exploiting and distributing pharmaceutical materials with enterprises in the field of producing and processing pharmaceutical materials and traditional medicine products. This will contribute to promoting the consumption of traditional pharmaceutical materials and pharmaceutical products for businesses cultivating, exploiting and trading pharmaceutical materials.
According to Deputy Minister of Health Truong Quoc Cuong, the fair will contribute to raising the awareness and responsibility of consumers as well as producers for traditional medicinal and pharmaceutical products, as well as encourage organisations and enterprises to invest in developing the production and value chains of high quality medicinal products.
Under the framework of the fair, many activities such as seminars, free medical examinations and counseling on traditional medicines for visitors, were also organised.
The fair runs until March 25.
