The event is jointly held by the Department of Traditional Medicine under the Ministry of Health and Vietnam Advertisement and Fair Exhibition JSC (VIETFAIR).
Speaking at a press briefing on November 6, Associate Professor Nguyen The Thinh, director of the Department of Traditional Medicine, said that the expo is expected to provide a meeting venue for enterprises, production and trading establishments of medicinal herbs and traditional medicines, as well as traditional medicine hospitals at home and abroad to exchange experiences and seek cooperation opportunities.
With over 420 booths, the expo will showcase products and information in five groups, including medicinal products and materials, health care, machinery technology for medicinal herb production, smart medical and pharmaceutical equipment, universities and training centres on traditional medicine.
In addition, the expo will feature seminars on discussing the application of traditional medicine achievements in treatment and health care and the development of Vietnamese traditional medicine in today’s life.
Unique characteristics and knowledge of medicine of Vietnam’s ethnic groups will also be introduced to visitors to the event.
