With a total investment of VND 3.5 billion (US$ 157,000), this is the biggest event of its kind to be held in the northern region so far
The festival will cover a total area of 6 hectares, stretching from Pho Truc site to Tung Garden and Summer and Spring parks
Bicycles full of flowers will be set up across the streets to decorate the event
A village gateway, a stack of straw and a rickshaw will also be set up to show a typical scene in rural areas.
Under the programme, streets will be paved with straw and vendors selling flowers will go down the streets
Visitors to the event are also invited to take part in folk games, such as blindfolded pot smashing, Con (a small ball made of colourful pieces of cloth) throwing, writing calligraphy, Quan Ho (love duet) singing and lion dance.
The event is expected to provide an entertainment for capital residents and visitors during Tet (lunar New Year festival)
