Government revenue collected by customs reaches 329 trillion VND

Vietnam’s government revenue from export-import activities in the first nine months of 2022 was estimated at nearly 329 trillion VND (13.78 billion USD), according to the General Department of Customs (GDC).

The figure is up 14.7% compared to the same period last year and is equivalent to 93.4% of the assigned target and 88.9% of the target set by the GDC.

In September alone, the revenue from export and import activities reached nearly 31.4 trillion VND (1.3 billion USD).

Last month, Vietnam’s export-import value was estimated at 58.73 billion USD, down 11% from the previous month, of which exports fell 14.3% to 29.93 billion, while imports dropped 7.3% to 28.8 billion USD.

In the first nine months of 2022, the total export-import value rose 15.1% year on year to reach 558.52 billion USD.

Exports during this period rose by 17.3% to 282.52 billion USD, while imports climbed 13% to 276 billion USD, meaning Vietnam recorded a trade surplus of 6.52 billion USD.
