A delegation from Hanoi city visited people in Truong Sa Island district and officers and soldiers on duty on the DK1 platform on April 20.

This year, the delegation is led by Nguyen Quang Duc, head of the Internal Affairs Department of the Hanoi Party Committee.

On the first day of the visit on April 20, the delegation offered incense at the Monument dedicated to political prisoners in Cam Ranh and the Monument dedicated to Gac Ma soldiers. They also visited Brigade 162, the most modern surface combat ship unit of the Vietnam Navy and visited Submarine Brigade 189 and others.

At the visit to Submarine Brigade 189, Nguyen Quang Duc said, that Hanoi always looks towards the beloved Truong Sa with the most practical actions and sincere sentiment, contributing to improving material and spiritual life for officials, soldiers and people in Truong Sa Island district.

On this occasion, nearly 20 tonnes of goods and food, which are famous products of Hanoi, were prepared to present to people and soldiers of the island district.
