On the evening of May 30, at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Ba Dinh District, Ha Noi, the Ha Noi Department of Tourism held the opening ceremony of the 2025 Ha Noi Tourism Festival under the theme “Experience Ha Noi 2025”.
In recent times, Ha Noi’s tourism sector has achieved many impressive results. The 2025 Ha Noi Tourism Festival is a concrete initiative to further promote the development of the capital’s tourism industry, aiming to welcome 31 million visitors in 2025.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dang Huong Giang, Director of the Ha Noi Department of Tourism, stated that with the guiding principle of “placing visitors at the centre”, Ha Noi is constantly improving its tourism environment, enhancing service quality, diversifying tourism products, and promoting digital transformation, working towards building the capital into a “liveable, friendly and creative city” and a leading cultural tourism destination in Asia and the world. Among those efforts, the Ha Noi Tourism Festival is the city’s largest annual tourism promotion event.

Over the years, the programme has introduced many new, diverse, unique, and appealing tourism products. It also serves as an opportunity to strengthen connections in tourism, culture and people, thereby attracting both domestic and international visitors to the capital and to its partner localities.
The 2025 Ha Noi Tourism Festival gathers 150 booths from leading travel enterprises, localities across the country and various international organisations. With a focus on experiential activities, the festival features a rich and distinctive programme, including: the “Ha Noi Destination Experience Space”; the Business Networking Space; the Traditional Crafts Introduction and Experience Space; the Ha Noi Culinary Experience Space; the Ha Noi Connection Space with Provinces, Cities, and International Friends; and the Ha Noi Discovery Space through Technology. Specifically, visitors to the virtual reality area can explore numerous famous landmarks that have been integrated using modern technology.
In addition, the festival offers a space for travel agencies and hotels to network and promote tourism stimulus packages; a space to foster tourism links between Ha Noi, other provinces and cities, and international friends; a Ha Noi cuisine area showcasing traditional dishes such as pho, shrimp cakes, coffee, lotus tea, and sweet sticky rice and dessert soups, along with innovative culinary creations; a sports zone featuring upscale activities such as golf and pickleball; as well as craft demonstrations and live performances by village artisans, vividly recreating the quintessence of traditional culture.
Running from May 30 to June 1, the festival not only provides an opportunity to explore the capital’s culture and tourism and hunt for promotional tours, but also acts as a meaningful recreational venue for families celebrating International Children’s Day on June 1.
